Anant Saraf is an interdisciplinary artist and technologist in the Brown | RISD dual degree program, studying
Computer Science at Brown University
and
Photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Born and raised in Kolkata, India and based in Providence, RI, he works across photography and digital media to explore memory, displacement, and how technology reshapes identity and collective myth. Using image manipulation algorithms, obsolete media, and lens-based imagery, his practice moves between the poetic and the technical, testing the limits of photographic legibility and digital clarity.
